“China’s smart energy changes need a ‘brain’”, said member of the council of International Smart Grid Alliance and Vice Director of China Wisdom Engineering Association Wu Jiandong on May 9 in the opening ceremony of Global Wire & Cable Summit 2015.
Professor Wu Jiandong attended Global Wire & Cable Summit 2015, and delivered his viewpoints
The main reason why there are so many giants in the world being unable to achieve intelligent energy terminal with old thinking and systems is that the operating system for energy terminal must be controlled within 100KB, including graphical interfaces, browsers, small and low power consumption. Such specific limitations prevent the world's energy operating system. Therefore, China’s smart energy changes need a “brain”.
Over the last two years research on new-type energy operating system have achieving progress. Once it is realized, an intelligent network would form, from switches, light bulbs to power generation, and transmission as well as wires and cables. The intelligent meters for measuring electricity and intelligent gas meters today are not the true ones theoretically. The emergence of energy operating system will significantly update our sockets, switches, and the marking systems, while the world is thinking about how to make wire and cable systems into an intelligent system capable of integrated services. Regarding wires and cables, due to public tender of large submarine cables this year, their intelligence requirement means a significant breakthrough.
Themed with "Reform and innovation cast future”, the three-day annual meeting, organized jointly by www.people.cn and www.cableabc.com, aims to "gather wisdom, boost development of industry". It invited more than 500 experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs to attend the summit, conducting systematic, in-depth exchange and exploration around hot topics to further promote a healthy and sustainable growth for the wire and cable industry.
